FNMT integration
Overview
The Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT) is Spain's national Certificate Authority (CA) that issues digital certificates for citizens, businesses, and public employees through its CERES service. The Redtrust integration lets administrators with the appropriate permission request and download FNMT certificates directly from the admin console.
The issuance process has three phases: the administrator creates the request in Redtrust, the applicant completes identity verification with the FNMT externally, and the administrator downloads and installs the certificate in Redtrust. Redtrust generates and stores the private keys on the server, retaining full control of the key lifecycle; the FNMT is responsible for certificate issuance and identity validation of the applicant.
Certificate profiles
Redtrust supports the following FNMT certificate profiles:
| Profile | Description |
|---|---|
| Private individual | Personal certificate for citizens |
| Representative for sole and joint administrators | Certificate for the legal representative of an individual |
| Representative of legal entities | Certificate for companies and entities with legal personality |
| Representative of entities without legal personality | Certificate for homeowners' associations, pending inheritances, and other entities without legal personality |
| Public employee (AC public sector) | Certificate for public employees with AC sector certification |
| Public employee with pseudonym (AC public sector) | Certificate for public employees where the NIF does not appear in the certificate |
To find out what data you need to provide for each profile, see the FNMT certificate profiles reference.
Required permissions
Integration permissions are configured in Access > Roles, in the FNMT section of each role.
